  • Wishlist Item…

    ASOS-striped-dress-wishlist-item
Got this one bookmarked on ASOS as a potential LeakyCon Esther Ball dress. It’s a total picnic in the park/strolling down the British beach front/cycling the in countryside type dress. I love the neckline and the stripes are so Summer-y. And as if I needed any more persuasion, the dress is now on Sale for £21…hmmm. It would also slide in well with the dresses I picked out for last week’s ‘Wear The Runway Trend Now‘ post. Thoughts?

I can’t be the only one who was salivating over Temperley London’s Resort 2014 collection, right? In true Temperley style the whole collection is full of feminine shapes, beautifully crafted prints and floral details, plus Summer garden party ready sun dresses above. The look is easy to replicate, look for fit and flare styles are currently all over the high street at the moment all in sickly sweet candy colours – embellishments and cut out lace patterns are also a plus.
Below are a couple of dresses I’ve found around the Internet, all of which would be great for lazy picnic days or Summer weddings. Styling-wise, don’t go overboard on accessories and let the dress do the talking.

After reading Gem‘s column in Company about DIY ink, tattoos have been playing a little on my mind. Love them or hate them, they’re here to stay and the taboo about having one seems to be slowly disappearing. I personally don’t have one. Do I want one? Kinda…Will I get one? Maybe one day, I don’t know – if I’m honest stubbing my toe makes my eyes water so my pain threshold is probably not up for it.
In the meantime I can admire my friends who have been brave enough to go under the tattooist’s needle, fawn over other bloggers who have some really pretty tattoos themselves and pin pretty pictures of them. If I ever did go in for the ink, I’m more partial to getting a quote from a favourite book done than anything fancy, though some of the line art tattoo illustrations like the ones above that I’ve seen floating around are just stunning.
What about you guys? Thoughts on getting inked. Do you have a tattoo yourselves?
