Another week, another round up…but the weather’s taking a turn into Autumn and I’m actually really excited. A new season of fashion is upon up us and I dug out my first knitted scarf. Autumn is seriously my favourite time of year. I love boots and coats and scarves and knitwear and tights and oh everything about this season.
I’m also musing about starting a book blog. I’ve been reading alot during my commutes and want somewhere else other than this blog to write about it, but I’m not sure I have the time to get into it…maybe do it as a collab blog? Thoughts? ;)

    Keep on wishing…

  • A taste of exotic opulence: Marchesa Spring 2013

When fashion week season comes around you expect a little bit of drama. When the fashion world awaits a new season collection from Marchesa they expect nothing short of a theatrical spectacle. Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman did not disappoint. The pair looked East for inspiration, taking on Bollywood and took it to the New York. The whole collection was a feast for the senses with silk, tulle, embellishments galore, all with hints of style taken from Indian culture. As per usual the gowns were Oscar ready and I can see this whole collection becoming a fast red carpet favourite.
Personal favourites were the stunning dark blue gown set off with gold embroidered detail around the bust [I can definitely see the celebs fighting to get a hold of that one] and this amazing fringed scarlet gown, set off with matching blood red beading.

Very rarely do the little things matter so much to a collection but Marchesa have paid just as much attention to the smaller detailing of their styling this season. Gold was the metal of choice here and it dripped off everything from necklaces to bejewelled clutches to the corners of the model’s eyes.

Who’ll be wearing it?…Penelope Cruz, Leighton Meester, Emma Stone, Camilla Belle, Katy Perry, Freida Pinto, Lily Collins

    Soundtrack: Daughter – Smother

I’m blogging in slight pain after jumping on inflatable obstacle courses and getting crushed by my old theatre group friends at my friend D’s 18th birthday. It’s been a while since I’ve see a lot of them so it was both a hilarious, genuinely lovely night and it felt good to act a little childish (as was the theme of the party).
Aside from that, same old same old IRL. But exciting times in the fashion world with New York Fashion Week having gone by and London Fashion Week in full swing. After the drought of things to talk about in terms of fashion during the Summer it’s been so good mooning over the new collections, all the gossip from the shows and getting jealous over other blogger’s Instagram photos lol. I do love a new fashion season, it definitely renews my interest and gets me inspired to blog again.
Also hope you enjoyed my Portobello and Paralympic travels posts!

    Keep on wishing…
