With the temperature drop and grey skies looming, Autumn soon becomes the perfect excuse to bundle up and stay indoors. So why not indulge in a little Pin-spiration to get some ideas on how to make your indoor space even cosier.
I’m so up for loading up on swathes of throw blankets and dozens of pillows for my bed – though I doubt this will make getting up in the morning any easier! Twinkling fairy light and pretty rustic lanterns to hold candles should, however, make the evenings feel lovely and atmospheric as you cuddle up with a book with the rain beating down outside. Ahhhh bliss ^_^
Perusing the Spring/Summer 2015 collections you’d be mistaken for thinking some designers were perhaps thinking too far forward toward Autumn/Winter 2015 with their colour palette choices.
There was an abundance of Autumnal orange shades dotted around the collections, from the darker burnt tones to the lighter hues set against a backdrop of white or pastels for more of a Spring feel. These earthier tones also made it into the Spring collections of Chloe, Louis Vuitton, and Dries Van Noten. There were mustard yellows and dirtied browns and greens making an appearance amongst the 70s inspired pieces, reminiscent of falling Autumn leaves.
Personally I love seeing these shades ‘on trend’ now, and I look forward to seeing them updated once Spring rolls round with lighter fabrics and the ‘prairie-hippie’ look replacing the cosy fabrics of this season.

It’s been an old ol’ month. My first not going back to school/college/Uni EVER, which hit me the other day…so I cheered myself up with new beauty bits (typical Ria!). Apart from a short break in beautiful North Wales and managing not to fall into a river during my first rib ride on the Menai Strait, I’ve been very much a homebody this month. I’ve been slightly grateful for this as work has been super hectic and I’m already looking towards planning the next few months here on WFC, Blogger’s Bookshelf and finally getting on the bandwagon with Feminist In Training too. Blogging with a full-time job is more difficult than I remember from placement!
My friend Lauren (aka Belle Du Brighton) is pregnant again and oh my God I’m so exciting for baby no #2! Plus check out how adorable Athena is in the announcement post.
Rosie’s kinda sorta Autumnal post and shares some really beautiful photos too.
