    – First of the snow flurries – New read ‘All These Things I’ve Done’ – Day #104 – Shoot The Freak & Darren Criss on my commute – Day #105 – Day #106 – Skinny latte time – Day #107 – Snoooow – Day #108 – Venturing out to work – Pretty walk to & from the office – My sister made a snow cat! – And wrapped up for work on Saturday – Cosy end to the week – 
    I have such a love/hate relationship with snow. On one hand who can resist how pretty everything looks, walking in fresh snow in the morning, or the perfect excuse for hot drinks and cosy scarves. On the other is the cold trek in at 8am when you want to be in bed, or the ineptitude of the British transport system once the first dusting appears, or how about not getting snow days anymore cos you work during the week? *le sigh* Well I hope whatever your situation the snow isn’t annoying you too much! After two days of wrapping up against the elements, I’m perfectly happy staying in under the duvets today with my ipod and Newsies soundtrack ^_^
    If you’re doing the same I definitely suggest accompanying said duvet day with my Golden Globe round ups (pt1 & 2!) and all the recent posts on Blogger’s Bookshelf, including our ‘Books We Vow To Read In 2013’ post. Am thinking of doing maybe a monthly list of books I’ve read to kinda keep track with my GoodReads challenge, yay or nay?

    – Sunday baking! – Day #99 – Listening to Haim, which inspired a post too – Day #100 – Day #101 – Started & finished a new book – Day #102 – Day #103 – Went to see Les Mis – Coffee, lunch and reading after work – 

    I don’t know what it’s been about this week but I crashed Saturday afternoon and have not really recovered…though I do blame most on this on the fact I’m still emotionally distraught about watching Les Miserable in the cinema on Friday evening (which was just beyond amazing! Aaron Tveit and Samantha Barks for life :D). Apart from this I’m surprisingly staying on top of a couple of resolutions. I’m reading more – already 2 books up on my GoodReads challenge – and have started properly listening to Haim and posted about them too. Going to the cinema more was also another one off the list to keep up this year and, kind of, monitoring my spending.
    In blog-y new I’m also one event into awards show season with my People’s Choice Awards round up. The Golden Globes are set for tonight so it’ll be good to see some full on ball gowns to review! Woop! Am also trying to get around the blogging community a bit more and find new pieces of inspiration and came across two sites I’m gonna recommend.One is The Fashion Spot forums and the other is Fashion Rider – which is nice site to find new designers and music. Always good to find inspiration for something a little different to write about :)

    First ‘ThisWeek’ round up of the year! Wahey! I’m oh so desperately trying to be positive in 2013, despite the shivers this unlucky number gives some people. 
    New Year’s was my family’s traditional night of feasting, drinks and chillaxing right up until midnight. Despite how much I love spending the NYE with the fam, I can’t help but look at London’s firework display (which by the way was spectacular this year) and get a tiny pang of jealousy. Maybe one day I’ll be stood on the Thames Embankment watching in person! 
    So this week’s been a week of resolutions and slipping back to reality, which hasn’t been too bad. I’ve set myself some style resolutions as well as general ones, which I’m trying to monitor throughout the year. Not to mention my snazzy 2013 GoodReads Reading Challenge. I’m going to attempt 30 books this year, which is minuscule compared to some of my friends on there, but hey I’m a slow and easily distracted reader. That being said, I kick started myself again by heading to my local library for the first time in months. I’d forgotten how long it’s been since I actually just borrowed a book instead of buying them instead! 
    Speaking of books! It’s been a while since I’ve plugged Blogger’s Bookshelf right? ;) In case you don’t know, I help co-run a little collaborative book blog with the lovely and Miss Super-organisational Erin from e-elise. We’ve been going since October and already have to great reviews planned for the New Year. Each of us ‘regular’ bloggers (and some of our guests) are setting ourselves some ‘Books We Vow To Read’ challenges this year too!     Also received my adorable giveaway prize from Laura at LauraLoves Boutique. It’s a really beautiful, hand embroidered initial necklace which I never want to take off!

    I realise how very me, me, me, the blog has been the past few weeks with all of the holiday happenings, but with the People’s Choice Awards kicking of the January award show season I suspect I’ll be back to talking about ball gowns and red carpet looks in no time ;)
