M.U.A. Colourblast Eyeshadow Tints (in A Gil Like Me & Loud), £3 each, Superdrug
Those following me on Twitter will know how much I’m lusting after the Clinique chubby eyeshadow sticks at the moment. In my quest for a cheaper alternative, I came across these in MUA Colourblast tints in Superdrug.
I believe they’re fairly new to the range and are very similar to offerings that I’ve seen from the Clinique, E.L.F and Max Factor. The tints I picked up are ‘Loud‘ which is a dusty plum purple and ‘A Gil Like Me‘, which is a slightly metallic grey. The darker swatches took only two swipes to build a decent colour for an evening make up look, although blended ‘Loud’ looks great for a little colour during the day. The wear is ok, with both lasting me through the day but clumping a little towards the evening – most likely me not using a primer each time I used them – and for £3 per tint the value is amazing.
Perfect for a quick make-up fix, I’m also hope they’ll add more shades to the range as time goes on as most of the ones available at the moment were darker, neutral tones (‘Loud’ being the obvious exception).

Finally getting round to this! Thought I’d share the latest issue of Aesthetic, a quarterly magazine, founded by and featuring the work of some of my favourite bloggers from around the Interwebs!
The first thing that stands out to me about Aesthetic is the aesthetic (har de har…ahem). Full of gorgeous illustrations, plenty of beauty bits to add to my ever-growing wishlist, stunning fashion spreads, all wrapped up in a pretty, pastel coloured bow. The magazine is also full of fabulously well-written and well thought out features on topics such as films, books, food, and culture. Not to mention the standout articles on careers in PR; working freelance, anxiety and social media; and nostalgic retrospective on holidays.
Issue 4 is still being sold online here if you’d like have a gander yourself, catch it while you can!

Kelly Brook ‘Lana’ Eyeshadow Quad Palette, £2.99, New Look

I bought this palette on a whim a few weeks ago at the West Quay Student Lock-in. Part of Kelly Brook’s make-up range for New Look, this particular palette ‘Lana’ consists of neutral stone shades. All four colours are great for daytime, with the darkest brown shade easy to build upon for an evening look. The quality isn’t brilliant, I found that powder wasn’t as loose as I thought it was going to be, but for it’s price you can hardly complain. It’s simple but perfect for day-to-day use.
