  • Wish List | The ‘Get Sh*t Done’ Stationary Edition

So this year’s word goal is hard. Some things I didn’t factor into this goal malarkey was 1. I’d be living in house with 5 other wonderful ladies and though I do love them very dearly (we’ve already been through it in just a few short months) they are fantastic at distracting me with gossip and terrible TV sessions. 2. Busy, busy, busy full time job – go figure and 3. apparently my social life taking an upturn (I don’t even recognise myself anymore guys).

As I mentioned in February’s round up, I’m in serious need of a kick up the butt when it comes to organisation, so what better way to do that then invest in some seriously adorable stationary to accompany my productivity at my desk – because apparently I like to kid myself that I’m being productive by looking at stationary websites.

Write Your Tomorrow stationary kit, Kikki-K // ‘I did my best’ pencil case, Paperchase // Aluminium pen pot, Muji // Dirty Dancing quote pencils, Dottie Rocks // ‘Thumbs Up’ sticky note set, Bando // Salmon storage boxes, Paperchase // To Do/To Get Notepad, Nightingale Projects // Escape the ordinary journal, Kate Spade // Cat post-it notes, Kikki-K // Printed notebooks, Oliver Bonas // Numbered paperclips, Tom Dixon

Paperchase and Muji are, as always, killing the game when it comes to their collections, but I’ve also been eyeing up Oliver Bonas and the stationary section of Selfridges too. In terms of aesthetics after a run of getting really into more mimimalist design, I’ve been eyeing up anything in pretty pink pastel shades which give off that dreamy Wes Anderson/Sofia Coppola vibe to my organisation.

Let me know if you have any stationary recs too! I’m always up for finding cool new shops to direct my lust at.

  • Wish List | Fresh Start Stationary

If there’s one thing I truly miss about having an impending new school/college/uni year ahead of me now it’s doing that annual Autumn stationary shop!

I know for a fact that I’m not alone in loving the feeling of walking into somewhere like Paperchase and picking through new pens, notebooks and folders. And just because I’m not starting afresh anywhere new doesn’t mean I can’t join in with you guys getting ready for the new term and gear up for a fresh start!

fresh-start-stationary‘Girl Boss’ pencils, Etsy | Mint exercise book, Oh Deer | Padded laptop sleeve, Etsy | Small page markers, Muji | Day desk plan, Sighh | Sticker pack, Kikki-K | Gel pens, Muji | Pencil case, Etsy | A5 notebook, Kikki-K | Geometric sticky notes, The Fox & Star

Normally I like my stationary simple, preferably matching, and functional (handbag ready please!) and I have included a few of those types of pieces in there. But hey, where’s the fun in being totally practical? And why stick to the basics when you can appease your inner child with some more colourful items in your handbag too!

  • Getting Organised | Temperley London for Filofax

Temperley London Ikat Temperley London Filofax cover Filofax dividers Filofax diary pages
    ‘Ikat’ Filofax, Temperley London
A new year and time to kick some organisational butt! I’ve been um-ing and ah-ing about getting a Filofax for a few months after reading Skye‘s Filofax round-up posts last year and getting pretty obsessed with Angela of Paper Love Story‘s blog. My Dad asked for a new one for Christmas this year and whilst looking for him, I’ll admit I was window shopping for myself too ;) As the New Year rolled in and whilst meandering through TK Maxx this past weekend for a cheap 2014 diary, I stumbled upon this absolute bargain find!
The Temperley London ‘Ikat’ was a Filofax style I’d been eyeing up to get and the one I found was going for £15! The organiser itself includes the personal sized diary pages, plus pretty black and gold dividers and rings. I’m only using the Diary, Projects, Addresses, Birthday and Notes ones at the moment, though it did come with additional A-Z address pages, Week on a page diary inserts and Expenses too. I decided to get the ‘Week on two pages’ inserts, as well as some blank pages for a little more flexibility, and may make up some personalised pages in the coming weeks.
I’ve filled in bits and pieces of my Uni timetable plus some key dates for blog posts and reading, so it’s looking pretty clean at the moment – I suspect this will change in about a week. But I do want to try and get creative with my pages.
The diary itself is removable, so should I choose to move on from using this it can turn into a really nice purse – there’s even card slots and space for money.
The next few months are pretty big for me, so I’m hoping this will make organisation a little more fun. If anything it give me an excuse to finally buy washi tape and pretty stationary ^_^
