  • Wishlist Item[s]…One Vintage

If there’s one brand that always catches my eye when browsing through Net-A-Porter it’s One Vintage. The collections are masterminded by former Paul & Joe UK partner Marcella Symons’, who with her team of seamstresses reworks vintage pieces and fabrics.
The end result are amazing unique pieces with a hint of old school glamour. Their dresses are especially gorgeous, most have a very 40’s movie siren feel about them. Though the fabrics and trims are all sourced from the past century, every piece could easily fit into a 21st Century wardrobe. But you’d need a pretty hefty bank balance and a quick clicking finger…the One in One Vintage also stands for One-off.

    Spot Cropped Blouse
    Dahlia
    £48 from ASOS

My head’s been in Business student mode for the past few days since getting back into the swing of University and I think it’s seeping into my fashion choices. I can’t be the only person who loves a good collared blouse? Behind white t-shirts the blouse is probably the item of clothing that I own the most of. The shape and fit are both flattering and versatile, and there are so many different styles out in the shops at the moment.
I fell pretty hard for this one on the ASOS website today. I love the Dalmatian spots and slight crop cut of this one. Plus these types of shirts are always so easy to layer up under jumpers and cardigans with preppy skirts or tucked into jeans. Will have my fingers crossed this heads into the the sale soon!

    Printed silk-satin and silk-chiffon gown
    Roberto Cavalli
    £7,175 from Net-A-Porter

It was a combination of pouring over Florence’s mini interview in ‘Company’ magazine, a longing for some breezy Summer sunshine here in the UK and a little procrastination between doing Uni essays that lead me to this wishlist item. I also think this now takes the place as the most expensive Wishlist Item I’ve featured on my blog.
A Cavalli piece is perhaps not the most obvious designer choice for Florence Welch. But with the floaty silk material and beautiful gold and lace detailing this gown looks like it could slip comfortably into her wardrobe. I know if I was as statuesque as her I’d snap it up immediately, if only I had the pay packet to match…
A girl can always dream, can’t she ;)
