My, my I’ve been a busy bee. With the Bank Holiday and my mini break to London with the family I only really had two days at work! Those who follow me on twitter know that I headed up to Thursday to watch the Paralympic Games.
Thursday’s morning session was spent high up in the Aquatics Centre watching some what’s swimmers, including Team GB’s Jon Fox (who broke his own world record time whilst we were there). The rest of the day was spent exploring the park. It wasn’t till later on did we realise we were stood outside of the Velodrome when Ms Kate Middleton was sat inside watching the action! So near yet so far :P A combination of a very early start and being on our feet for most of the day meant we all collapsed into bed once we got to the hotel.
Day 2 was just as exciting as we joined the crowds to fill up the Olympic Stadium. It actually looked a lot bigger on the TV, but at least this meant we could see more of the athletics better. The atmosphere was amazing! I want to do a much bigger post on my time in the park, I took some decent panoramic photos on my phone (I didn’t even realise I could do that!) that I want to share.
