It’s that time of year again where the fashion spotlight hits Paris for the couture collections and boy, do I love it!
The definition for haute couture is literally ‘high fashion’. With many of the pieces being one of a kind, couture pieces, for me, they’re wearable works of art – and stunning works of art at that!
Most of the pieces in these collections are rarely fully translated into looks you can wear day-to-day as they are presented on the catwalk (though certain elements can obviously inspire looks) and there’s a sense of fantasy about every single one of the looks.
It’s fashion on steroids.
It’s fashion at its most creative.
It’s fashion at its most ridiculous.
It’s fashion at its most beautiful.
