    Spot Cropped Blouse
    Dahlia
    £48 from ASOS

My head’s been in Business student mode for the past few days since getting back into the swing of University and I think it’s seeping into my fashion choices. I can’t be the only person who loves a good collared blouse? Behind white t-shirts the blouse is probably the item of clothing that I own the most of. The shape and fit are both flattering and versatile, and there are so many different styles out in the shops at the moment.
I fell pretty hard for this one on the ASOS website today. I love the Dalmatian spots and slight crop cut of this one. Plus these types of shirts are always so easy to layer up under jumpers and cardigans with preppy skirts or tucked into jeans. Will have my fingers crossed this heads into the the sale soon!

  • Haul | West Quay Southampton Student Shop In

I headed out on Tuesday evening to West Quay Southampton’s Student Shop In (or Lock In). It’s a shopping event held specially for student with the majority of the shops open from 7pm – 10.30pm offering discounts, deals and competitions. It’s a great opportunity to get discounts in stores that don’t usually offer student discounts and the atmosphere is also great with stores like H&M and Bank also having their own DJ’s playing whilst you shop.
I picked up this pretty blouse and scarf from H&M. I’ve been wanting something from the H&M Conscious collection for a while, but I love this simplicity and lace detail of the top.
The Body Shop were offering a decent 30% off and a free ‘Love Your Body’ card when you bought something. I’m currently obsessed with my new pink grapefruit lip butter, it smells so good!
    Keep on wishing…

  • Inspired by…Titanic’s Jack & Rose

I thought I’d theme this little feature in tribute to the 100th year anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic this weekend. As well as remembering those who lost their lives on the ship’s ill-fated maiden voyage, I know many will also be heading towards the cinema to experience James Cameron’s epic love story in 3d [for the record, I’m still refusing to see it unless they change the ending – let him share the damn door Rose!].
I thought I’d throw a little focus to many people’s favourite tragic lovers Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater/Dawson, as portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

I’ve given the couple a more modern twist with these looks. For Rose, the opulence from her upper class background remains, with a beaded Marchesa gown, but I’ve also taken some inspiration from her various wraps and longer skirts throughout the movie with the other pieces. Jack’s look was pretty easy. Smart, simple, with a touch of working class and not forgetting his trouser braces. And of course, a replica of ‘The Heart of the Ocean’.
