It’s been both a busy and relaxing week following on from Easter. I had some time off work and managed to get out of the house for a little bit too. One Tuesday, my family and I headed down for a day out in Portsmouth and went to have a gander at the Les Miserable exhibition at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. It’s a small exhibition but they had a good majority of the main character’s costumes, including Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Samantha Barks, Aaron Tveit and Amanda Seyfried. I have a few more photos on my Instagram if you want to see more, I wish I could’ve taken better but I didn’t get my camera out that day =(.
It’s also been a bit of a spend-y week, so probably no shopping for a while for me now…That being said, it means I’ve got a few little bits to review and blog about!
Back to reality tomorrow though, having some time to catch up on myself – and sleep! – has definitely kicked me in the backside to really get stuff done.

  • Dynamic Denim | Mary Katrantzou x Current/Elliot collaboration

    Mary Katrantzou CurrentElliot 13
    .1.2.3.4.5.
In one corner: Mary Katrantzou, London Fashion Week d’ahling, famous for her intricate and explosive printed pieces on the catwalk, loved by celebs both on and off the red carpet. In the other corner: Current/Elliot, legendary denim connoisseurs, known for their timeless yet modern approach to design and tributes to old school Americana style.
Mix these two passionate powerhouses and you get the latest designer collaboration hitting the retail world. It’s an eye-catching collection, full of spring colours and intricate print-work. Mary’s signature style is all over this one, with banknotes, stamps, dashes and Aztec motifs adorning each piece. Despite it’s on the surface eccentricity the collection looks surprisingly wearable for day and night. My personal favourites are the tailored, sleeveless blouses and the Ashdale dress – which gives off a 21st Century Prairie girl feel.
What do you guys think? Hit or miss collaboration?

  • The Power Of Six | HUNGER magazine Spring/Summer Issue

When you’re a bi-annual magazine you really need to make a statement when you do put out an issue. HUNGER magazine’s Spring/Summer issue (due to be released this week) has done just that. They haven’t just settled for one big name cover star. Nope. Make that six of the most talked about female artists in the music industry right now (from l-r top-bottom: Rita Ora, Jessie J, Iggy Azalea, Grimes, Gabrielle Aplin and A*M*E). Styled in line with their individual stage persona’s and shot by Rankin, every cover is truly unique. Personal favourites for me are definitely Gabrielle Aplin and Ms. Jessie J, of course.
