    Two Weeks #16

Aha! This is gonna be a quick one even though I have about a billion things to say! Since I worked full-time last year I forgot just how hectic December can be leading up to Christmas when you’re a student and working part-time in retail…nevertheless!
I have been a busy bee with blogging the past few weeks. In case you missed any of my Festive Fortnight posts I linked all of them up for you in a handy dandy round up post. The two weeks straight of blogging was in celebration of this blog’s 3rd birthday – crazy huh!
Having met up with my blogging ladies at Winter Wonderland this month and with the end of the year is a good time to take stock of the blog and where I want to go with it in 2014. I know I need to get my head in gear next year, especially with University slowly consuming my soul (and I’m aware this is only going to get worse!). So I’m probably gonna sporadically blog during the holidays before – hopefully – a bit of a revamp in time for the new year!

    1. I didn’t have time to do this for this Christmas but planning the Ultimate Fandom Holiday Wreath is on my list for next year!
    2. Lily’s beauty blogger Throwback Thursday idea, checking in on overhyped products from blogging yester-year.
    3. Georgina’s (aka The Librarian) wonderfully magical day in Narnia – aka Chatsworth House.
    4. This wonderful video from the Mimi Foundation, showing 20 cancer patients undergoing a unique makeover experience. This will make you both smile and cry at the same time.
    5. Marion’s little post on London’s Columbia Road flower market. So pretty!
  • Festive Fortnight | Snow Queen Beauty Inspiration | Elsa from Disney’s ‘Frozen’

Inspiration comes from the most unlikely places sometimes and in this case, it’s the newest Disney film ‘Frozen‘. The inspiration I’m looking at is the film’s frosty new princess, Elsa and her wintery make up look from the movie. Unlike most popular culture Snow Queens, Elsa’s look is very much based on berry hues and bold accents. The warmer tones provide a nice contrast to her ice blue costume and platinum blonde hair, so there’s plenty of dark rose pinks and purples. And of course a little shimmer in the form of some glitter!  If you’re after her look I’ve put together a mini capsule make up kit for you below…

It’s not that long till you can see Elsa in action! Frozen is out this Friday in the UK =) yay!

  • Festive Fortnight | Review | Marc Jacobs ‘Daisy’ gift set

    Marc-Jacobs-Daisy-set March-Jacobs-Daisy-bottle
‘Daisy’ Marc Jacobs gift set | RRP £67.50 | The Fragrance Shop
The first of my Festive Fortnight posts and something I’ve been lusting over for while. Marc Jacobs’ Daisy is one of the brands most iconic scents. Light, bright and fresh, Daisy is full of pretty violet tones and reminds me of Spring and sunshine. Though we’re in the midst of Winter I still think this is a great day-to-day fragrance and something a little refreshing for an early evening scent. And of course there’s the bottle itself, which looks perfectly at home on any blogger’s vanity!
My dad was lovely enough to get this particular set in the duty free section whilst on a business trip for me – along with my part payment! The set I have has the 150ML and mini 4ml bottles of Daisy, plus their luminous body lotion – which I can’t wait to use! I’ve found an almost exact version of the gift set here and there are sets with the body lotion and shower gel. Not only is the set itself great, but the box itself is oh so adorable too!
