A two week round up edition today. I managed to get sick in the last week of November and couldn’t get much else done other than lie in bed feeling sorry for myself and re-read a favourite fanfic of mine – don’t judge. So apart from resting up, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
We got our decorations out in our house and at work and I’ve even done most of my Christmas shopping already this year! It’s really about to get busy the next few weeks with Christmas parties and prep for the end of the year, can any of you believe how time has flown?

The most exciting news of the week has definitely been my blog’s 2nd birthday! In celebration I opened up a giveaway yesterday, so make sure you check out the post and enter. The giveaway closes on the 22nd December, so be sure to get your entries in!

Other than that, Blogger’s Bookshelf is still going strong, I have a review coming tomorrow actually ;), and we’re looking for guest bloggers! Message me, Erin or Blogger’s Bookshelf with a review of your favourite book or tweet us if you want to get involved.
I’m also writing a NaNoWriMo round up post with Lucy and some other fellow WriMo’s, again message me if you want to get involved and share your experiences. Because of the crazy busy-ness of November I only hit 20k, but am still pretty chuffed I even managed to do that!

    Keep on wishing…

    WFC 2nd bday header
My, my, my Wishing For Chanel is growing up so fast!
Can you believe it’s been two years since I started this blog – with some extremely cringe-worthy posts, don’t look please – and two years since I’ve embraced the blogging lifestyle. Since then I’ve had 60k+ views, have published over 300 blog posts, and the biggest number for me…hit over 100 followers this year!
I met some lovely people bloggers and have even started another blog with a great team of bibliophiles. My writing range as gone from pure fashion to cover lifestyle, beauty and travel posts but I’m definitely still learning and trying to improve upon my writing. I was a first year Uni student when I started and am now 4 months into a work placement in between my 2nd and 3rd year.
And while I may not get to post as often as I like, have the follower counts of some of the biggest bloggers or go to glitzy events I’m still ever grateful for everything starting this little space on the Internet has brought me….

…now enough of the sentiments ;P to celebrate I present to you my first ever giveaway!

  • Review: Nivea Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream

As we’re now deep in the Winter months – how is it December already? – harsh wind and the cold means my skin takes a battering. It’s taken me a long time to find a decent moisturiser that will hydrate my face for the whole day. I was recommended this cream by my friend and a couple of other beauty bloggers on Twitter and this is about to turn into a rave review people!
I’m used to moisturisers simply fading away after a few hours but Nivea’s cream is perfect for keeping my face soft in the cold. As someone with fairly sensitive skin my main concern was that it would soothe my skin as well as hydrate it, which the product does perfectly. It’s admittedly heavy, but that’s what’s needed at this time of year and I will most likely switch back to a lighter cream once the Summer comes around again. The great thing about this particular cream is that it’s not limited for just facial use but I’ve used it on my hands and neck. 10/10 for this one! Nivea have got a new fan!
    Keep on wishing…
