    boot-season-2013
    1. Heeled Chelsea boots, Geiger | 2. Burgundy ankle boots, New Look | 3. Tan ankle boots, ASOS | 4. Two-tone ankle boots, Michael Kors | 5. Black and tan knee high boots, River Island | 6. Patterned ankle boots, Anthropologie
Tis’ the season to get back into those boots! One of my favourite things about Autumn is getting back into wearing my favourite type of footwear and this year is no exception. I usually have a few decent pairs I dig out every year but some of them are definitely on the brink of breaking, and with the British weather as erratic as it is, it’s probably a good idea to make sure I’ve got shoes that are a little weather proof!
As usual my brain is steered towards ankles boots as a default. There’s such an amazing range of them at the moment and I’ve seen a lot of coloured and patterned suede/leather material on the high street too. That being said, as much as I want to infuse some colour in my wardrobe, there’s certainly nothing wrong with sticking to the staple brown and black styles either.
What about you guys? Are you ready to delve into boot season?

Wacom Bamboo Digital Pen & Tablet, £49.95*
Exciting new shiny thing! My lovely placement team gifted me with some Apple Store vouchers when I left and instead of spending on actual Apple products – fail – I decided to invest in something I’ve put on my Christmas/Birthday wish lists for forever. Yep…a Wacom Bamboo tablet!
The rather exciting package came with the tablet itself, wireless pen and free drawing programmes. At the moment I’m mainly using it to add writing to blog photos and as an external mouse, but am hopefully going to get going with blog graphics for here and Blogger’s Bookshelf posts. I’m hoping as time goes on I’ll be using it a little more for graphic design and, eventually, illustration again – I’ve not had time to draw in so long! All in all, awesome! I love using it, was so easy to install (plug into the USB and install the CD software) and is so comfortable to use too. Win :)

*disclaimer: Bamboo tablet purchased in part with an Apple store gift voucher from my placement team and with my own money.

    Two Weeks #12
    – New toy! New toy! – Fearsome Dreamer & Elle UK for my commute reads – present from my friend, who worked the McFLY gigs – waiting for public transport in my TopShop boots – beauty buys – work selfie – a very purple ootd – coffee and train times – I wanna be Taylor Swift (& want her wardrobe too – a change of scene from the library, working in Starbucks –

Hello folks and how are we all today? Autumn seems to have well and truly arrived here in the UK and I’m actually kinda grateful. Bring on the berry shades, fallen leaves, and abundance of knitwear! Uni is in full swing too, lots of work that I’m kinda ahead with so far (aided so far with copious amounts of coffee) and feeling motivated to do well this year. In terms of getting back on track with blogging, I guess I’m back on the band wagon a little bit, I feel like fashion week coverage is a good way of kickstarting my brain into fashion mode again. Also treated myself to copies of Elle and Company, this month and have now finally caught up with all of the backlog of blogs I’ve been so behind in reading for the past few weeks.
In exciting news of future plans, next year is really shaping up to be something quite exciting. My lovely bestie Kath managed to nab us some Taylor Swift tickets, I’m finally looking up dates for my New York trip, and am looking at the possibility of a general trip to the Netherlands (as part of a mini break for my friend’s Hen Weekend). The only thing I can’t add to this exciting plans list is LeakyCon Orlando =( as pumped as I was to head over and experience the awesome of the Harry Potter park with an insane amount of Potter fans, funds and timings have made it unlikely I’ll be able to make it over now. Ah well…start saving for 2015?
Speaking of future plans! Something a little sooner than all of this is Blogger’s Bookshelf’s 1st birthday celebrations :) we’re about two weeks away – yikes! – and Erin and I have been chugging away on the background with some plans for the big day and the next few months! Who would’ve thought we’d be here a year later eh?
