    Happy Chinese New Year everyone! It’s been an exhausting one this week. Busy, busy, busy, but I guess this always does make time fly! Most days I’ve been happy enough to get home and curl up with a book or my laptop and pour over the fashion week coverage before hitting the hay. 
    But as ever, I’ve had to hitch up and get organised a little bit. My Uni options for my final year (when I start back in October) came through and I’ve hit the big submit button. It’s weird to think I’ll have to be heading back, it feels so far away at the moment but I’m kinda excited to make a start on my modules and dissertation topic – does that make me a bit odd? Who knows?
    In the blogsphere tonight is the most ridiculously scheduled awards night of the year with The Grammy Awards to be held in L.A. and the BAFTAs in London. I honestly think they do this just to make red carpet bloggers like myself a little crazy whilst it’s happening. Though with all the goodness that has been New York Fashion Week so far, I’m itching to see whether any of these celebs have managed to nab any Fall 2013 already. So keep an eye out for my reports – they’ll most likely be slightly reduced highlights due to the sheer volume of the potential guests to both events this year!
    In book bloggy news, Kindle arrived! And I hate to admit it but I kinda love my new commute companion – even though I kinda ended up buying two news books at Waterstones last Saturday…Oops. What can I say I love a BOGOF deal?!

    I feel like I always talk about the weather as a first step with these posts…and I don’t intend on changing that any time soon! :P It’s raining, then sunny, then windy and I’m almost wishing for the snow-y consistency. Well. Almost. Have also been noticing that it’s getting darker, later in the evening now. Which means Spring is on its way! Wahey!
    With Spring comes new fashion and after receiving ASOS magazine in the post the other day I’m craving a little bit of colour. Despite running a fashion blog, I haven’t actually been properly clothes shopping in a loooonnng time – shocking I know. You could see this as a good thing, but even I’m spotting some serious wardrobe repetition in my work wear. This, paired with the fact that I’ve been on a serious personal style blog reading binge the past few days has got me craving a shopping trip to London or Brighton or anywhere I haven’t been before. *le sigh*
    Where I haven’t been spending on clothes, I seem to have switched to books. I suppose this is better but I’ve just splashed out on a Kindle…don’t judge me! It’s been ordered and I got the email yesterday that it has been dispatched. Exciting stuff! I can’t wait to start properly reading lots and lots of books on the train – which means lots of books to review on Blogger’s Bookshelf and in my new ‘..In Books’ feature.

    – Under 200 days! – Day #109 – Day #110 – Started reading some Plath – Day #111 – On my ipod in tribute to Glee returning – Day #112 – Health kick – Day #113 – heading into town on the train – evening sky – Beauty & the Beast am-dram production with friends – 

    A very, cold and busy week but hallelujah the snow has now gone! As nice as it was to see the world surrounded by wonderful white flurries, the aftermath was not so fun. Normality seems to have come back and the January blues are ever present everywhere at the moment. But never fear! Music, books and a night out at the theatre were just enough to keep me going this week. As well as the thought of investing in a Kindle come payday, I promise I’m not abandoning my books though! If anything it’ll hopefully help me read more often. On a book related note I’ve started reading the first of my ‘Books I Vow To Read in 2013‘ list, The Bell Jar. Am loving it so far and hope to review it at some point on Blogger’s Bookshelf.
    In more relevant news, the SAG’s are on tonight and after fawning over the Spring Couture collections I’m hoping to see some beautiful gowns from Elie Saab, Christian Dior and Valentino on the red carpet and in a couple of the big events coming up too! Also keep an eye out for some new features on here, I’m branching out a little in terms of what I want to write about on here and have already got some new posts planned.
