  • Christmas Gift Guide For Book Lovers

I may be biased but it’s my honest opinion that bookworms are the easiest people to buy presents for. But usually us literary folk get one of two presents at this time of year. 1) A book (duh) or 2) a book voucher – because the giver usually has no idea what book to get said bookworm.

As much as I love books and hell yeah book vouchers are awesome (it’s like buying books without the guilt!), sometimes we’d like people to think a little creatively. Never fear! Hopefully you can use this mini gift guide for inspiration below…

  • Wishlist | Head Turning Party Pieces

Though I’m the kind of person who’s more likely to be found scrolling through Tumblr eating popcorn on a Friday night, the December holiday season brings around the inevitable dilemma of dressing up for social gatherings and the annual ‘party month’.

I’m usually one to keep it simple, but once in a while I find myself online window shopping at Net-A-Porter, then one thing leads to another and I’m suddenly having to restrain myself hitting the order button on the Burberry or Harrods websites – oh the perils of online shopping when your bank account doesn’t reflect your inner fashion taste.

So feel free to indulge with me and lust of these pretties I’ve picked out above as show-stopping party pieces (which I’ll never be able to own *sobs*)

  • Wishlist | Lush Bath Stuff

    Lush-wishlist1
top left-right (clockwise): – Northern Lights // Fairy Ring // Comforter // Father Christmas // Honey Bee // You’ve Been Mangoed // Magic Wand // Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment // Space Girl

In the words of Ms. Sylvia Plath “There must be quite a few things a hot bath won’t cure, but I don’t know many of them.” As the nights draw ever darker and the winter cold on British shores, surely there’s no better way to relax after a tough week at work than a cosy bubble bath.

I don’t know why I’ve suddenly developed this love for Lush recently but I’m gunning for a bath bomb shopping spree at some point before Christmas. I spotted the ‘You’ve Been Mangoed’ and ‘Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment’ bath melts in store a few weeks ago and they both look heavenly, the ‘You’ve been Mangoed’ also smells like Summer in a bath melt. Am so also keen to try out Northern Lights at some point after spying some videos of people testing it out, the colours looks amazing when you drop it in!

Also just for the fun of it I’ve popped in some of the bubble bars and bath bombs I’ve been eyeing up including some of the Lush Christmas themed bits and blogger favourites like their ‘Comforter‘  Bubble Bar.
