Inspiration #10 Steady Downpours & Spells Of Sunshine
“In the spring I have counted one hundred and thirty-six different kinds of weather inside of four and twenty hours.”
    – Mark Twain

Doesn’t that quote just sum up Spring weather in one fail swoop? Absolute torrential downpours one minute and blazing-not-quite-Summer-but-lusciously-warm sunshine the next. Impossible weather to dress for but a sight to behold, so long as you’re indoors watching the world go by.

    JumpFromPaper The Whimsical Me Lookbook

Sometimes browsing away on the Internet can lead you to the most wonderful of discoveries. The moment I saw JumpFromPaper‘s line of bags I completely fell in love. This quirky company, run by former graphic design students Chay Su and Rika Lin, takes the 2D cartoon aesthetic and translates it into some seriously mind-bending accessories. On the outset, the bags themselves really look like they’re Daria-esque cutouts from comic books, but turn them to the side and look a little closer and they’re fully functioning bags for every occasion and for men and women. I’ve set out some of my personal favourites below and can we also just acknowledge how cute the bag names are? Giggle? Tropical Fish? Carly Sweetie? Amazing.

‘Summer Odyssey’ passport holder, Paperchase//Butterfly Foldover Wallet, Accessorize//Floral Phone Case
A few bright and light Spring bits I’ve picked up in the past few days. My purse broke on Wednesday just as I headed out to leave for London, not surprising as I’ve had it for a good few years now. I’d been meaning to get a new one for a while, so I popped into Accessorize and found this pretty little thing above. It’s the same foldover design I had before, but just the switch from a dark brown purse to the lighter cream feels lovely. I had some Paperchase vouchers to spend, so I also bought a sleek lilac passport holder for when I travel to the US in June. Plus points for it being waterproof too! And I needed a harder shell case for my new phone and instead of just going for something a little plain, I thought I’d go for some pretty aesthetics. The case is just from a stand in my hometown, so it was super cheap too, but I love the delicate little purple and pink floral design on it.
Looking at these photos I only just realised that these all colour co-ordinated too, probably my subconscious brain thinking it’s time for some Spring sunshine, right?
