    • In light of the sad news that world renowned street style photographer Bill Cunnigham passed away back at the end of June, there was a fantastic piece in the Washington Post on what he taught us about ethical journalism.
    • In an awful cynical world, teeny pockets of loveliness like Grace’s ‘meet cute’ story shine like adorable bright beacons. Honestly I dare you to not come away from this little blog post without a massive grin on your face.
    • This one’s a rec from Kerry after the Write Like A Grrl workshop. A wonderful piece of advice for writers and bloggers alike if you’re struggling with creating “The emotion you have is not absolute, it is temporary. It may be useful, but it is not the truth. It is not you. Get over it.” Seriously, should probably pin this to my wall and read it about ten times a day for the rest of my life tbh.
    • Rather hilariously Rebecca is one of the first ‘fashion’ bloggers I followed back in the day, so you can imagine my amusement reading her six reasons why you’re a bad fashion blogger. It does remind me why I’m glad I don’t personally post style photos on my blog anymore.
    • Wonderfully insightful guest post from Steph (That Zombie Said) on the whether your cruelty free products are actually Vegan (and visa versa!). I’ve actually been wanting to do a post on this very topic but Steph’s summed up my thoughts on it perfectly.
    • And finally I shared a few of my favourite post-Brexit blog posts already but I seemed to miss this one out. Miho shares some very poignant thoughts on the ref from the point of view of a non-UK citizen.

    • Here’s something I’ve never considered about cruelty free beauty. Suzi breaks down the complicated licensing structure of Marc Jacobs beauty and why the brand may actually be cruelty free.
    • I adore Katy’s blatant honesty in her post about failure and quitting. I totally share her sentiment that sometimes taking the ‘safer route’ can actually lead to bigger and better things in the long term – gosh that’s a lesson I’ve learnt the totally hard way.
    • As if all the beautiful social media posts from Carrie from WishWishWish’s wedding weren’t enough to persuade me, Jane’s little photo diary of her day trip to Sintra is just one of reasons why I probably need to stick Portugal and Lisbon on my travel bucket list.
    • As always Susie pulls it out the bag with a fabulous post on the Manus x Machina exhibition at The Met. Also aren’t her images of the pieces on display just divine?!
    • I’m always marvelling at how eloquent Noor is, but this post on forgiveness is just wonderful, so well put and something everyone should think about once in a while.
    • My lovely friend Lauren posted a simply adorable interview with her daughter, Athena, and it’s honestly my favourite thing that I’ve read all week. Not to mention it’s making me feel totally old because I remember first meeting her when she was a teeny tiny, very well behaved baby. And now she’s THREE and walking and talking like a proper human (where has the time gone).

    • I have a weird fascination with generational gaps and what defines them, so this brand new one from Vanity Fair is so so cool to me. I sit firmly in the Millennial camp *points to blog name* and find it a bit weird there’s a younger generation behind me now (CHRIST!)
    • This little ode to second hand bookshops makes my heart sing. As much as I love the smell of a brand new book, the thrill of finding a new favourite in a old shop is equally as satisfying (and good for the purse too)
    • An old article but timely when considering the problem the Oscars nominations have with diversity. This list of 100 women directors already in the industry is mind-blowing and makes the ‘there aren’t enough female directors to choose from’ argument pretty much redundant. The fact women are behind some of the most iconic movies of all time (American Psycho, Clueless, Monster, Boys Don’t Cry, Carrie) should be enough evidence.
    • If you follow me on Twitter you may have spotted a Tweet (or 10) about the Spring Awakening revival recently. The show unfortunately closed before I got a chance to travel across the pond to see it but if you have no idea what I’m on about check out this video spotlight on Deaf West and sign language in theatre (a.k.a the theatre company behind the production) to see what all the fuss is about.
