Have you guys gotten sick of my love of Autumn yet? No? Good, because this is yet another post proclaiming my love of the temperature drop and wonderful excuse to indulge in sweaters and knitwear in general! By far the piece of clothing I own the most of in my wardrobe is the humble jumper and as Summer ends I always find myself itching to get back into them.

Perfect for layering in the cold and rainy British weather and cuddling up in when you don’t want to turn the heating on just yet. They’re the most versatile piece of clothing I own and look great dressed up or down. For you have to go slouchy. The bigger the better, with more fabric to engulf yourself in. As for design, simple mohair or fine knit pieces are good for smarter looks, big knitwear is good for days off and lounging around the house. And, of course, I couldn’t resist including some of my favourite logo sweaters I’ve seen knocking about in this wishlist. I mean how could I not include a Harry Potter, cat print and Beyonce slogan sweaters right?

Let me know which ones are your favourites guys!

Back to regular programming ;) and I’m lusting over some fast fashion pieces at even cheaper prices. Summer sales are all over the shop (har de har), so I’ve done some snooping online and picked out some of my favourites I’ve spotted.

Despite not heading to any festivals any time soon I always get swept away with the boho trend that rolls around every year – must be my inner hipster or something – so maxis, florals and desert boots (to wear with floaty dresses) do make an appearance. One the opposite end of the scale, I’m loving the minimalist trends that are now becoming more prominent on the high street, shown here in the form of patent accessories and block coloured clothing.

Out of Print book t-shirt wishlist

What’s this? T-shirts with book covers on them? Out of Print are a company that specialise in combining fashion and literature. Their range of clothes and accessories take the beautiful artwork from the covers of some amazing classic books. Like band t-shirts, I’m a fan of the policy of ‘if you don’t know what the band (or in this case, book) is, than don’t wear it’, so I’ve picked out some of my favourites based on my love of the lit. What I love most about these tops is the way they’ve interpreted the cover for the t-shirt style. They’re not complete copies, but some of the designs have been really cleverly put together. The Little Women shirt is my favourite for this very reason, it takes the beautiful illustration from the original cover art and transforms it into a really unique design.
An amazing addition to these t-shirts being amazing design-wise and the perfect way to show off your love of a book? For each product sold on the website one book is donated, through Books For Africa, to students and children across the continent. So whilst you feel all snazzy in your book themed apparel, you’re also helping children gain access to wonderful stories and educational resources too.
Charity, books and fashion all rolled into one? Perfect combo for me!

*not gonna lie I high-fived myself for the pun in the title of this post ;)
