Step One: Kinky Boots Original Broadway Cast
Guys April was busyyyyy – well, at least busy in my own way. I’ve been cooking and baking and Spring cleaning and travelling and socialising…And I think my body took a hit at the end of the month and basically went ‘Hey Ria, you need some R&R. Here’s a nice dose of the flu’. Fun times!
Before I got hit with the lurgy just after my birthday I did manage to squeeze in two much needed London trips. The first was a visit to Renegade Craft fair with Erin and Skye, and the second was a pre-birthday treat with Erin to museum hop to the Natural History Museum and the V&A. The V&A trip was particularly special as we’d booked to see the Alexander McQueen ‘Savage Beauty’ exhibition – which was pure brilliance by the way and worth a visit, I’m totally trying to work on a post on him and the exhibition soon! I also went to my first very fancy Ball here in Oxford, which was so much fun that I forgot to take outfit photos and photos in general (I’m trying not to beat myself up about that too much and try to remember that ‘living in the moment’ mantra that gets preached so often now.
And then of course my 23rd birthday! Which, apart from the trip to London, was a much more chilled affair than my last – especially considering last year I handed in my dissertation, went to see Les Mis and was turning “22”. It might be my age, but I wasn’t so bothered about making too much of a fuss about turning another year older (aside from the fact I FREAKED OUT on Erin in the V&A shop because I’m turning 24 next year – whhhaaaatttt??)
Now looking ahead, May is looking to be a much more relaxed month. I’m looking forward to getting back on my organisational track blogging-wise, balancing out my life a bit and getting back on the fitness track (I – literally – fell off that bandwagon h a r d after screwing up my ankle this month).
R.xoxo
