  • Am I still a fashion blogger?

When I first started Wishing For Chanel I had a pretty decent Lookbook account, which is – rather embarrassingly still active. It may not look it but I put a lot of effort into those outfit photos. I also posted them on my blog and predominantly wrote about fashion, style and the designer collections (from the comfort of my bedroom rather than the FROW). Back then I would’ve told you without hesitation that I was a fashion blogger through and through. Sure there was a beauty review or ‘travel’ update, but writing about fashion was my thing.

    And now? *shrugs*

  • Travels | Kings Cross & The British Museum

    Kings Cross

    ~ "Harry I'm Comin' Home" ~

In lieu of taking any solo trips this year I decided to make an impromptu decision to take a day off work for some ‘me-time’ away from home in London.

The initially – totally selfish – purpose to want to take September 1st off was to tick off something that’s been on the bucket list for a while…be at Kings Cross to Platform 9 & 3/4 at 11am on the first day of school at Hogwarts. I had been before when they were still doing all those renovation works to the station a few years ago and took my photo on the trolley that had previously been placed there. I wasn’t sure what to expect this time – Owls around the station? A gaggle of ginger kids being shepherded past Costa? Kids trying to lug trunks out of London cabs?

  • MTV VMAs 2015 | Red Carpet Fashion Round Up

This is a first in Wishing For Chanel red carpet reporting history…I fell asleep through most of the VMAs coverage this year. Whoops!

Never fear, it’s taken some time but I’m all caught up on the gossip (Cyrus vs Minja, Kanye 2020, Bad Blood Squad goals and all!) and more importantly the gowns! As always judging the looks from the red carpet for this particular event is…interesting to say the least. There’s less focus on the traditional and more on the outlandish, it’s totally unique in that respect, which require a totally different perspective to judge fashion standards by than say the Oscars or Grammys.

So, gear up, it’s about to get weird. Here’s some of my favourite looks from this year’s MTV Video Music Awards…

    VMAS15-Vanessa-Hudgens

Best Dressed Award | Vanessa Hudgens

I didn’t even expect this little lady on the night but my oh my was she a ray of sunshine in hurricane of weird. Surprisingly (for me anyway) this year’s best dressed is going to Vanessa Hudgens, who looked like a radiant fairy queen in this gorgeous Naeem Khan. gown. I’m very much in love with the floral details on this peach number, as well as her choice of golden jewels and hair accessories which she used to style up the look. What a beaut!
