Well isn’t this the most cliche January post ;)
In all seriousness there’s something about starting a new year that makes every single person on the planet hit the reboot button when it comes to their health. I too have been re-evaluating my own health and fitness and have concluded that it really sucks. Christmas/New Year food binge aside, I’ve not been looking after myself that well. Since starting a full time job I’ve done too little exercise and overindulged far too many times. I’ve stressed myself to the point of sleepless nights and that’s taken a toll on my on mental attitude towards myself as well.
Luckily my move seems to be the perfect way to propel myself into a better and healthier lifestyle. Oxford has some fantastic running routes, so I’m hoping to get back into regularly running like I did whilst I was still at University. I’m even contemplating signing up to a colour run in the Summer to give me some extra motivation. I’m also really stupidly excited about the fact I have a new blender to make smoothies and on-the-go juices for breakfast/snacks and I’ve been furiously pinning vegan and veggie recipes to try too.
On top of the whole physical lifestyle change I need to take more time to work on my mental health. I want to spend more time reflecting, reading and learning to relax properly too. A healthy body isn’t complete without a healthy mind too!
R.xoxo
