    Blogger Love Header
Happy Valentines day! As you know I’m flying the solo flag once again this year so instead of wallowing I’m sharing some love…BLOGGER love *hahahaha*. I found this tag thank to Jennie, who in turn got it originally from Make-Up Savvy and decided to give it a go too…

What was the first blog you ever came across?
I’m pretty sure it was either The Sartorialist, Red Carpet Fashion Awards or an now defunct blog called I love Fashion.
    Favourite beauty blog reads.

The Beauty Milk, Nouvelle Daily and ETC LLYMRS. Three blogs that I can always rely on for straightforward and to the point beauty reviews.

    Best blogging friend(s)
My IRL best friend Kath (Sensitivity & Flair) and my fabulous blog co-captain Erin (E-Elise)

Name a blog that enables your purchases.
Daisybutter – dammit Michelle! – also Blogger’s Bookshelf cos y’know…books.

5 blogs everyone should be reading.
Temporary: Secretary: For all things feminine fashion & beauty
Thoroughly English: For drool-worthy food posts & recipes
    Elevatormusik: For must-follow lifestyle posts
I Believe In Story: For lit-inspired posts & insights into publishing
Delightfully Tacky: For quirky, girl-next-door style inspiration

Your favourite way to read blogs.
BlogLovin’s my go-to for blog updates, it’s super easy to scroll through on the computer and I’ve just started getting back into the android app too.

    Bloggers that inspire you.
Becky Bedbug: Becky is so fearless, isn’t afraid to state her opinion and has a fantastic writing style.
The Man Repeller: Again, Leandra’s a fantastically confident lady with a kick-ass sense of humour that just bleeds through into her writing.
Style Bubble: Susie knows fashion and you leave her blog posts feeling like you’ve been schooled in Sartorial 101.
A Rosie Outlook: Lovely and down to earth, Rosie’s blog is not only a must read for fashion and beauty picks but her posts on health and fitness are truly inspirational.

    Favourite blog design/look.
I’m never too fussed about this, my favourite blogs range from the most minimal to beautifully decorative, though I have a serious love for Carrie’s (WishWishWish) blog design.

What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Having an outpost to write about whatever I like – without having to chew the ears off my friends and family – and getting to meet the the amazing people I’ve met through this little corner of the Internet
    *awwww soppy sentence is soppy*

Name a blogger you would most like to see write a book in the future.
Toss up between Anjali (L&P to English Tea) writing a travel guide and a fashion/NYC book from Hallie (Corals + Cognacs)
Over to you guys! Spread some love in the community and take the tag on!

  • TAG! | 8 Nerdy Things About Me

    Nerd definition header
Here’s a secret I bet you didn’t know…I’m a nerd *cue sarcastic laughter* but seriously I came across the 8 nerdy things about me tag on Hayley’s blog so thought I’d have a little fun and do the list myself! Enjoy…

    1. You can put money on the fact that I’m a treasure trove of Harry Potter trivia.
From the cool (It’s likely Maggie Thatcher was the Prime Minister that tried to chuck the Minister of Magic out the window – if you consider the 1990s timeline of the books) to the absolutely unnecessary (Professor Quirrell was a Ravenclaw). It would probably be my chosen subject on Mastermind to be honest.
    2. I sit and watch TED Talks online…for fun.
Seriously, it’s my favourite discovery of 2013 and it doesn’t feel like you’re wasting time watching them because you’re learning.
    3. I went to a freaking fandom convention and was more scared about meeting Youtubers than actors like Evanna Lynch.
    I mean c’mon if that doesn’t count I don’t know what does?
    4. I buy DVDs based on their behind the scenes content and would rather have the director’s commentary on than watch the actual film.
You guys don’t wanna know how many times I’ve watch behind the scenes stuff for LotR or The Social Network…no really you don’t…this was also my reasoning for buying the recent Star Trek: Into The Darkness DVD – bonus features on rebuilding the Enterprise? Hell yeah!
    5. My ideal holiday would include exploring a museum instead of lying around a pool getting a tan.
This may be to do with the fact I’m already kinda tan skinned, but sign me up to go to a history museum any day.
    6. I like to think I’m an expert at anything musical theatre related.
Kinda like point 1. I have so much useless knowledge about Broadway, West End, Off-Broadway, Regional Theatre stored in my brain it’s ridiculous.
Like I bet you didn’t know Iwan Rheon (Simon from Misfits) was also in the West End production Spring Awakening as Moritz? And the composer/lyricist for Spring Awakening, Duncan Sheik is currently producing the music and lyrics for American Psycho the musical – starring Matt Smith from Doctor Who? Yeah…well, I do so that’s nice…
    7. I get really excited visiting bookshops
(Not in that way you perverts!) But ugh the smell of new books and discovering new authors and finding your favourites and subtly moving their books to the shelves where people can see them…yep.
    8. I talk my family’s ears off analysing TV adverts…
There’s a reason why I’m studying advertising and PR at University y’know!
Why don’t you guys give the tag a go too?
I’d love to read all yours, so link me up if you end up doing it!
