It’s my favourite time of year – sartorially at least! Once January hits Hollywood gets red carpet fever and the annual awards season kicks off.
We’ve already had the People’s Choice Awards this past week, but with the Golden Globes on tomorrow evening I thought I’d pin down the pieces I’m hoping to see over the next two months from the Pre-Fall 2015 collections.
Amongst my own favourites from the collections – Marchesa, Elie Saab, Oscar De La Renta – are some left field choices from Alexander Wang, Lela Rose and Christian Siriano. In terms of shapes I’m looking forward to seeing some sleek draping, detail lace-work and some eye-popping colour (De La Renta, I’m looking at you!). And, of course, I’m naturally excited for those head turning princess gown moments – a la Nupita’s Prada number last year.
