Hello and welcome to the latest edition of The Sunday Share Out! Grab your hot beverage of choice and check out which posts, videos and bloggers I’ve been loving from around the Interwebs lately.
- Sophie wrote a rather wonderful post on online friendships and social media in general. I’m totally with her on so many points and reading it really made me realise how much I really love this little blogging community and all it’s given me.
- For all you graduates (and non-graduates) out there, Pamela Druckerman wrote a fantastic piece for the New York Times about finding your place in the world. Totally relevant whether you’ve finished your degree this week or 5 years ago.
- Totally in love with the way Katie’s laid out her May book reviews, not only are these fab recs but aren’t the illustrations just adorable?
- IAMGALLA has been to Rome and GOSH the photo diary is the stuff of dreams guys – and the little guide on where to eat? Super handy for my trip in August!
- And speaking of food, meet my new foodie blogger obsession. I a d o r e Lady and Pups and Mandy’s to straight to the point attitude to cooking and gosh, yes, the food! The food! Not only do her recipes look super simple to follow, they look straight up comforting to eat. You can also rather handily browse by recipe type here too.
- One of our newest feature writers on Blogger’s Bookshelf, Katie, recently posted about her favourite YA books that deal with serious real world issues. I’m forever an advocate of writing centred around the real world experiences and there are some fantastic recommendations here.
- Katy from Littler Winter wrote a really amazing and heartfelt piece called ‘It’s ok not to be ok’ and I all I wanted to do was give her a big hug after I read it.
- Gawker, have a really great article with a roundtable on why people are still living in New York. As someone who is still very much in love with the NYC, I’m always fascinated by reading about people’s thoughts on the city – good or bad!
- Apartment Therapy have been running their annual small spaces competition at the moment and whilst I’ve been loving finding my own favourites, Jessica from The Lovely Side has also been compiling hers. I do still urge you to check out a lot of the entries yourself as well though, so much fantastic inspiration!
- More room inspiration from The Clothes Horse. Isn’t the minimalist fireplace with those books just divine?
- And finally a little self-plug. My post on why diverse books matter went live on YA Love Magazine! Make sure you check it out and join in the discussion.
R.xoxo
