Lifestyle | Spring Evergreens

Guys…am I getting old? I’m writing a blog post on plants…
In all seriousness though, Spring seems to have kicked me up the butt and now I’ve found myself seeking out those little green shoots that are echoing in the new season.

I’ll be honest here though, I don’t have the greatest track record when it comes to keeping plants alive and my Mum is definitely the green-fingered one in the family but that hasn’t stopped me from having a bit of a nosey on Pinterest for ideas for indoor greenery to spruce up the house a bit.

Thanks to my hay-fever, actual flowers are probably not the greatest idea in my room *cries because I love carnations so much*, but I am so up for potting some evergreens and I’m obviously gonna get on the those low-maintenance blogger favourites…cacti and succulents! Or I could of course cheat a little and go for some artificial greenery…I won’t tell if you won’t ;)

Cacti are definitely a good place to start! I have one from about 4 years ago that’s still going strong – if I can keep it alive for that long so can you! haha. I also have a Money Plant I got last year that seems to be doing well, I’d recommend those too :) xx

My little cacti have brought a ridiculous amount of joy, it sounds silly but it’s really true (it’s all about the little things, right?) <3

I feel u man, I feel u. I started gardening last year (I HIT SENIORHOOD SO FAST) and I’ve started growing a few things this year already. They’re all tiny sprouts now (SO HAPPY) but I’ve bought a few potted plants to decorate my home office with and UGH, JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

Growing plants isn’t actually too hard (literally dump seeds into the soil and water), but it’s actually maintaining the already grown plants that you buy at the store that’s a bit harder IMO. As for succulents, jade plants and bonsai are my favourites!
