Hello, room tour! I feel like this post has been a long time coming since it’s been almost three months since I, y’know, moved and all that. So far my home decor stuff has generally been confined to my bedroom at the moment, as downstairs is pretty communal I haven’t personally ventured into buying much for the house in general yet. I’ve got the biggest double in the house and since I shifted loads of the original furniture away from the walls I discovered that I have a tonne of space to fill up!

So this is just a mini glimpse into what I’ve done so far – let’s ignore the fact that the rest of my room was too messy for me to want to tidy up and photograph for the post ok?…I’m trying to keep the lines clean and light. So there’s a lot of monochrome happening and smaller trinkets alongside the bare walls.

My favourite part of my room so far is my (kinda-sorta) feature wall I found the string of fairylights with pegs in Primark and figured they’d be a p e r f e c t way to showcase my favourite postcards and my Strand tote (which I’ve decided is too nice to actually use, but pretty enough to display ^_^), especially as our estate agent has a thing against blue-tack, but not nails…weirdly. As expected there are quite a few little tributes to NYC around including my awesome Broadway pillow my sister got me for my leaving present.

Now I’m a bit more settled in and that Spring is just around the corner I am so up for getting some greenery in as well as some cosier blankets and more pillows (having a double bed has been life changing guys!)

Ria Xx

Yes I love a room tour! I like how you’ve hung a bag up, I think clothes and bags etc are underrated as decorative pieces haha.

Totally agree Jane, like why wear it/use it when you can keep it beautiful & pristine on display right? ;) Xx

I love all your little trinkets Ria! And that bedding is dreamy, I just adore simple bedding. Can’t wait to see more from your new abode! (And agreed with Jane – clothes and bags as decor is so ingenious!)

Thanks Michelle! Spyed the bedding on a whim in Tesco before I moved, so lush & an absolute bargain too! Xx
